Panshet Sunrise & Sinhagad Valley Birding.
After a long discussion finally (hushh!!!) the spot was decided as Sinhagad Valley for birding. Now a days leaving bed early is no more thrill as quite used to it. As soon as I woke up made sure that other members are with me out of the their beds.
Picked up Soumitra from his house and rushed to the Rajaram Bridge. As soon as we reached there we grabbed the cozy and warm seats in Dhruv's car, rather SUV. Within no time we reached at Sinhagad and realized that we were too early for the birding and we decided for the Panshet Sunrise. Llloking at the eastern skies we were sure that sunrise is going to be awesome. While searching for the good place to shoot the sunrise someone asked me to keep one road curve in mind and I said "चंद्राखालचा" turn (turn under the moon). Soumitra had a little problem to understand this PJ as recently पौडावरुन आणलाय त्याला... (Soumitra sorry barr ka!). Ultimately after a further useless search we end up shooting from the same point and got some awesome shots. Perfect sunrise over the mountains with the Panshet Dam backwater in the foreground and the amazing colors. Deep is scratching wide angle lens in overtime now a days he has few top class shot as usual is a no brainer.
Later we headed to Sinhagad valley back and spotted a most awaited bird "Asian paradise Flycatcher". In fact this bird welcomed us in the valley. Later the list kept on appending with the shrikes, falcon, Ashy prinias, Robins, Parakeets, and many more. (will update the list as received from the birding gurus Dhruv and Deep).
Extensive List (Courtesy: Deep):
1. Black-shouldered Kite
2. Shikra
3. Marsh Harrier
4. White-throated Kingfisher
5. Pied Kingfisher
6. Asian Paradise Flycatcher
7. Tickell's Blue Flycatcher

19. Grey Shrike
20. Black Drongo
21. Ashy Drongo

After having a enough time there we had our breakfast and Chai in the local hotel (?) and headed back to Pune. And later on in the city booked a hall for the party of Photographers@Pune scheduled on Sunday, Jan 18, 2009.
Hope everyone enjoys it...!!!
