Moonwalk @ Devghar

When i grabbed my newest lens from Rahul's desk, my hands were itching to try it out. Unfortunately camera body was left at home. Deepak called and told that he was at home and would go somewhere in the evening. I finished up office and other work early and went home. Grabbed the camera and landed to his place. As soon as I reached there we left for the Devghar Dam picking up Suhas from the Chandani Chowk.
Driving towards the Bhor phata was on NH4 and then left turn towards the Bhatghar dam takes you to the Mahad Road after Bhor. Encircling the small hillocks and crossing over the Neera river we reached at Devghar. While driving Deepak asked us "Yaar, tum loag baatein karate waqt gaali use nahi karate kya?" (Guys, Don't you use slangs while talking?). We kept mum :-).
Our main intention was the sunset, but Suhas saw a water spillway from the Devghar Dam our water-blur man Deepak stopped his car and took his weapons out including 10kg Manfrotto tripod. We (me and Suhas) were searching for the good place for the frames Deepak was left behind and went in other direction of us. Once we saw him with his tripod and thought he'd come back to us, but this Mahaan Aatma went over the Dam wall for the sunset, while we were taking a long exposure shots with the natural ND filters of darkness.
Deepak returned to his car and our absence there made him to think that we have left for the nearby village. The barking dogs there made his situation worse and he went in search of the mobile signal to call his better half. And we poor two P@Pis were left at the dam site. While going towards Bhor this Mahaan Aatma kept telling the coinbox PCO operators that if two guys (Suhas and me) come there to call him, them tell them that he went for a mobile signal and will come back to pick us up. But the idea of calling his wife from the PCO coinbox itself didn't strike in his mind for no good reason.
In the moonlight of 8:00pm we climbed the hill from the dam (or damn) wall and returned to the place where car was parked. "Oh My God..!!! where is Deepak?" No one had a clue. Suhas asked, "is this a F***'ing joke? And I will kick Deepak's #### if it is...!!!" No sign of Deepak or his car. We had to walk down to village for 2km and fortunately got the phone and required single and the only coin in the pocket. If we miss that coin then the next currency denomination I had was Rs.500 note. And in that village of 15 houses it was unimaginable to ask for a change of Rs.500 for Re.1 coin. When we called Deepak ensured his correct number twice and he replied back he is coming back. As he has very brilliant (!?)(LOL) direction sense we were not sure that he'll reach in one attempt. Fortunately he reached and told us that he had ate three Vada-Paav and a half liter of cold drink. We were just about to kick him there itself, but then who would have driven us back to Pune? In the return journey Deepak got the answer of his question "Yaar, tum loag baatein karate waqt gaali use nahi karate kya?"
Anyways the photoshoot was fantastic for long exposure shots.
See you again.
