New Year 200km Bike trail: Pune-Mulashi-AmbyVally-Lonavla-Bhaje-Pune.
The January 1st was the holiday and wasted it at the home except the evening coffee with the P@P members. The coffee table provided me a platform to put forth my photo shoot idea. We decided on Bhigwan, but later on dropped the plan after dropout of member. So me and Soumitra zeroed on the Mulashi-Amby Valley-Lonavla bike trail. Next day morning we left in the sub 10 deg Celsius temperature and was really hard time to drive the bike. While rest of the world was cozying in the warm blankets, we The माज community members were driving down the Mulashi roads at 5:30am in the morning. Me and Soumi will never forget the spine chilling cold that we faced for this shot. We were literally holding the hot silencer of the bike, after smoking tyres for 70kms, to regain some senses to our numb freezed palms. We were there at 6:30am and efforts paid off. The sunrise shots we got there are worth feeling than viewing on the screens.
From Mulashi towards Amby Valley is more of a dirt track motocross road and I have always enjoyed such rides. I doubt about Soumi whether his bottoms truly enjoyed or not. After the Amby valley the road was giving a feel of F1 Super Bike championship with the smooth curves and wide seamless tar roads. The Egg biryani at Lonavla re-energized us for the next lap and no wonder we decided for the Bhaje caves. After few shots around the cave the camera jumped off my lap and the lens got damaged (but working).
The return journey was on मक्खन NH-4 and no wonder we reached Wakad from Karla in dot 32 minutes :-)).
Thanks Soumi for the awesome chilling cold company.
